Dragon Age: Origins And Moral Choices, A Redux

November 5, 2009

Like many others, yesterday I cracked open my copy of Dragon Age: Origins, excited to finally get a chance to play a game that I’d looked forward to for a while. I’ve thought very highly of Bioware and Mass Effect was one of my favorite recent titles, so I’ve got very high expectations for this game. In a previous entry I talked about the way many games implement “moral choices” these days and how lackluster I generally find that implementation to be. November 5, 2009

Do you know how people feel about you on Twitter? Are the tweets about you or your product mostly positive, negative or neutral? Snow Leopard Update Will Not Kill Hackintoshes

November 5, 2009

We said that we would have to wait for a final release of Mac OS X 10.6.2 to be sure whether Apple had really killed off support for the Intel Atom processor, and we were right. Stellarolla, the hacker who first reported that a developers seed of the upcoming OS update would break compatibility with the netbook processor, has updated his original post.

A new seed (the name given to the successive updates given to developers before the final release) has re-enabled support for the Atom Source: Wired RSS Feed

Not surprisingly, the folks at Apple are pleased.

“The App Store, now with over 100,000 applications available, is clearly a major differentiator for millions of iPhone and iPod touch customers around the world,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s seniorSource: The Apple Blog RSS Feed

November 3, 2009

The site E4G reports that Gran Turismo 5 will include a very exciting option: The ability to create your own tracks or edit the existing tracks. Eurogamer checked in with Sony to confirm this new feature, and, while Sony refused to confirm the news, the company also refused to deny it, in a carefully worded statement that makes the news suddenly seem more plausible: “We haven’t confirmed this and aren’t offering any other comment at this time,” Sony told Eurogamer.

November 3, 2009

There’s certainly no shortage of impressive augmented reality games around these days, but it doesn’t look like the folks behind the so-called Real Time Race will have any trouble turning a few heads with theirs, at least if they can actually deliver as promised. Their basic idea is to make use of some Google Street View-like technology to create a virtual reproduction of an actual race track, and pair it with some real-time data as the race is happening to let anyone that wants to take partSource: Engadget RSS Feed
